Five goals for Real Madrid and not a Cristiano Ronaldo among them. Alvaro Morata grabbed the final goal in their 5-1 win over Legia Warsaw.

There was late drama in Bruges too where Andre Silva’s stoppage time penalty gave Porto a dramatic 2-1 win.

Spurs are hanging on, making a final change as Son Heung-min is replaced by Josh Onomah in stoppage time.

What a save from Schmeichel! Andreas Cornelius looks certain to score after connecting with a low Santander cross, but the Leicester stopper dives to his right to make a crucial stop in the final minute.

Leicester are closing in on tree points as they make a second change with two minutes to play, Leonardo Ulloa coming on for Slimani. The Foxes stick with two up top despite the late Copenhagen pressure.

As Bayer ramp up the pressure on Spurs again, there’s been another big goal elsewhere in this group as Monaco have equalised at CSKA Moscow. Bernardo Silva pouncing with just three minutes left.

Chance for Copenhagen! A cross in the box finds Santander but he ca not keep his header down as he nods over the crossbar.

Five minutes left at the King Power Stadium as Claudio Ranieri makes his first change with Jamie Vardy going off to a loud ovation as he is replaced by Shinji Okazaki.

It is been an open game this, certainly better value than the damp squib on show at Anfield last night. Spurs have found an attacking edge having weathered that attacking Bayer storm, but it is still an even game and both sides will still be keen to find a winner.

My money is still on the home side though as Kiessling clumsily bundles a near post cross from Kevin Kampl wide.

Copenhagen are finding a second wind against Leicester who are still yet to make a substitution. In truth this game should already be as good as over with Slimani having had a strike controversially ruled out. But heading into the final 10 minutes the Danish side sniff an equaliser…

Bruno Cesar has pulled a goal back for Sporting Lisbon as they trail Borussia Dortmund 2-1, while Lucas Vazquez has made it 4-1 to Real Madrid against Legia Warsaw. Miguel Layun has equalised for Porto at Club Bruges.

Juan Cuadrado has given Juventus the lead at Lyon after firing home at the near post from a very tight angle.

It”s hard to keep up with the volume of Bayer chances in this half. Omer Toprak has already had a free header directed straight at Lloris, and now the Bayer star fires a half-volley wide following another failed Tottenham attempt to clear a corner.

Spurs are very fortunate to still be level as Stefan Kiessling fires wide of the near post from inside the box.

The German side wo not keep missing as Moussa Sissoko comes on for Erik Lamela.

‘Madrid police say they detained seven Legia Warsaw fans after disturbances outside of the Santiago Bernabeu in the build-up to tonight’s game.

‘The Polish club have already been told to play their next Champions League game against Real Madrid behind closed doors after crowd trouble marred their last Champions League home game against Borussia Dortmund in September.

‘On the pitch Madrid still lead 3-1 although it’s not Ronaldo’s night so far and he has just been booked.’

Leicester City have the ball in the Copenhagen net as Islam Slimani converts Jamie Vardy’s low cross, but the strike is ruled out for offside – replays show that is quite a harsh decision.

In an attempt to weather this Bayer storm, Mauricio Pochettino throws on Mousa Dembele in place of Janssen.

Here is how Lloris has kept Spurs level in Germany:

At least Leicester City found their feet in this second period. Riyad Mahrez’s fine along the penalty box results with the forward shooting across goal, only for a defender to make a crucial interception.

Spurs really ca not complain if they fall behind now – it is all Bayer! Admir Mehmedi’s low 20-yard strike forces Lloris to once again leap low to his right to push the ball behind.

Backs to the wall for Spurs, it is been a terrific opening to the second half from Leverkusen. Lloris is again to the rescue as he pushes a 25-yard free-kick from Charles Aranguiz wide, before the Spurs defence clear off the line and divert a shot over the crossbar following a corner.

It seems both the Premier League sides are struggling at the start of the second half. As Bayer put the pressure on Tottenham, Copenhagen are too pressing for an equaliser at the King Power Stadium.

Bayer are inches away from taking the lead – maybe even millimeters… it may even be over the line!

Hernandez gets on the end of a low cross into the Tottenham box, but Lloris scampers across his line to JUST keep the ball out.

Now it is Bayer Leverkusen’s turn to have a goal ruled out following Vincent Janssen’s earlier effort, but despite the home side rolling the ball into an empty net, Javier Hernandez had been penalised for tripping Hugo Lloris.

Julian Baumgartlinger has replaced Hakan Calhanoglu at the break for Bayer Leverkusen.

A couple of goal updates to bring you. Samir Nasri has opened the scoring for Sevilla at Dinamo Zagreb while Julian Weigl has doubled Borussia Dortmund’s lead at Sporting Lisbon.

It is not been all Spurs though, Javier Hernandez firing wide with a low effort that Hugo Lloris always had covered.

It is not been a livly night for the former Manchester United striker so far.

So close to an equaliser! A corner finds Andreas Cornelius, but the Cardiff City flop powers a header across goal and narrowly wide across the post.

Forget Leicester’s domestic struggles, they are flying in Europe! Riyad Mahrez gives the Foxes the lead five minutes before the break after his clever flicked finish from close range comes following a knock on from Slimani.

Close from Spurs! Vincent Janssen hits the bar with a header, while Erik Lamela’s volleyed rebound is well tipped over by Bernd Leno.

From Sportsmail’s Pete Jenson:

‘Football for fun in Madrid. Real look like scoring every time they attack and Legia have already hit a post and scored a penalty. And now Asensio puts the home team 3-1 up.’

A big goal elsewhere in this group as CSKA Moscow have taken the lead against Monaco though Lacina Tarore – who is on loan from Monaco.

Meanwhile in France Alexandre Lacazette has seen a penalty saved by Juventus stopper Gianluigi Buffon.

Leicester are not finding it easy to create chances at the King Power. Jamie Vardy manages to get to the left byline to put in a cross, but he fails to pick out Islam Slimani inside the box as Olsen takes comfortably.

Great chance for Spurs! Good play picks out Kieran Trippier on the right, whose quality cross into the centre is powerfully headed wide by Dele Alli.

The Spurs midfielder perhaps could have done better, and judging by Mauricio Pochettino’s frustrated reaction on the touchline, he knows it too.

Leicester City are also starting to display authority over Copenhagen, where rain is also falling heavily.

It should make any player more cautious on the sliding challenge but that does not stop Santander from clattering into Danny Drinkwater.

Tottenham still have more of the ball and are now starting to find gaps in the Bayer Leverkusen defence as they take control of this first period. Only a poor Delle Alli pass fails to release Janssen in goal.

Make that 2-0 to Real Madrid, as Karim Benzema’s cut-back for Marcelo results in his low strike deflecting in at the near post. That’s game over at the Bernabeu then…

…except Legia Warsaw win a penalty moments later and Miroslav Radovic pulls a goal back from the spot.

Gareth Bale has fired Real Madrid ahead against Legia Warsaw after cutting inside from the right and firing low across goal.

Meanwhile Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has fired Borussia Dortmund ahead at Sporting Lisbon while a Jelle Vossen effort has put Club Bruges ahead against Porto.

Vincent Janssen has the ball in the net! Too good to be true, Spurs fans? You are damn right it is. It is correctly ruled out for offside and it denies the Dutch striker his first Tottenham goal against major opposition – no disrespect to Gillingham.

‘The relentless rain has driven Mauricio Pochettino from the touchline and into the shelter of the dug-out. Leverkusen boss Roger Schmidt is toughing it out in his suit and trainers.’

Spurs are seeing plenty of the ball but it is all inside their own half. They are being heavily pressed by Bayer Leverkusen who force an error as Hugo Lloris’s pass out falls short of Danny Rose, but the resulting cross is taken by the French keeper.

Curiously, Leicester City break and in trademark fashion try to pick out Jamie Vardy with a long ball over the top. Copenhagen have done their homework though, and Robin Olsen is quickly out his goal to make the interception.

Kasper Schmeichel is called into action in the Leicester City goal, blocking a shot at the near post from Federico Santander. You could always bank on the Foxes keeper keeping that out though… I will get my coat.

Someone has smuggled a few flares in at Leicester City among the away fans in the corner It is a packed house at the King Power Stadium – a fabulous atmosphere too.

‘Bayer Leverkusen fans boo Son Heung-min’s name when it is read out before kick-off. Son left under a cloud for Spurs last year but was hoping for a warm welcome and has promised not to celebrate if he scores.’

‘Teams out warming up at the rainy BayArena in Leverkusen, Spurs in their orange training tops, appropriate for Dutch striker Vincent Janssen who is back in the team.

‘Eric Dier starts in central defence as expected, with teenage defender Cameron Carter-Vickers on the bench.

‘Kevin Wimmer has travelled to Germany but is not even among the substitutes. Wimmer’s only appearance this season was in the EFL Cup against Gillingham.

‘Hopefully he’s enjoyed a trip back to the region where he used to play down the road, for Cologne.’

After a surprise home defeat by Monaco to open up their Champions League campaign, Tottenham hit back with a win in CSKA Moscow and results elsewhere have left this group wide open.

A draw in Germany and victory for CSKA this evening would leave just one point separating all four sides at the halfway point.

Having been thumped 3-0 at Chelsea on Saturday, Claudio Ranieri makes four changes to his side for their clash with Copenhagen.

Riyad Mahrez returns to the team along with Andy King, Islam Slimani and Danny Simpson as Ahmed Musa, Daniel Amartey, Jeff Schlupp and Luis Hernandez drop out the team.

Schmeichel, Fuchs, Huth, Morgan, Simpson, Albrighton, Drinkwater, King, Mahrez, Slimani, Vardy.

Legia, Navas, Pepe, Varane, Marcelo, Danilo, Kroos, James, Asensio, Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema.

Mauricio Pochettino makes four alterations to the Tottenham team that grabbed a 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in the Premier League.

Toby Alderweireld’s injury means he is replaced in defence by Eric Dier, while full-backs Kyle Walker and Ben Davies drop out the team in favour of Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier.

Son Heung-min comes back into the team against his former side as Moussa Sissoko drops out.

ADAM SHERGOLD: Walk through any town or city in Mexico and the face of Javier Hernandez is never too far away. He gazes down from billboards advertising telephone companies, banks, soft drinks, even bread.

The striker’s nickname – ‘Chicharito’ or ‘little pea’ – is emblazoned on the reverse of the green shirts of the Mexico team and, in what is a slightly bizarre sight, the red and black of Bayer Leverkusen.

It is solely because of the country’s young poster boy that Leverkusen have overnight become the second team of many Mexicans.

Barcelonas astonishing collapse: Why has it all gone wrong for the European champions?

The image summed night Barcelona’s Gerard Pique Frommel the Nou Camp turf to fire wide with the goal at his mercy.

Pique remained there for a good 10 seconds, is unable to drag himself back his feet. With its dung, a chance to save even made a point of Barcelona’s must-win match against Valencia, and so is their three-point lead at the top of the table.

She 2-1 defeat was the latest disaster in what has been a terrible month for the European champion. On March 18 she was eight points clear at the top of La Liga, and only has a 5-1 overall victory at Arsenal reached the Champions League quarterfinals.

On April 18, she is now at Atletico Madrid on goal difference alone, with Real Madrid – who beat them 2-1 in El Clásico -a further point behind. They lost four of their last six games, winning once and drawing the other.

The worst of all, their reign as European champions is over after Atletico a 3-2 overall victory last Wednesday after a pulsating second leg at the Vicente Calderon.

But what went wrong? How did a team that just a month ago invincible time has fallen apart

Here we look at the key factors behind disastrous slump Barcelona’s form – and see if they can salvage something from a season in danger. ends with a whimper

Barcelona has always been a by virtue of a small group, but this season seems to get caught with them -. especially when it comes to their much-acclaimed MSN strike force

for club and country Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar has 140 games played already this season, including regular trips to South America and the trip to Japan to play in the Club World Cup.

As a comparison, have their counterparts Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale only played 107 matches between them.

To make it worse, Luis Enrique fields are always much-praised strike force from the beginning of the game, with Messi makes two appearances of the plaster substitute bench this season, and Neymar and Suarez not having such replacement switch.

Given that all three played in the 2014 World Cup and last season’s Copa America and it’s no surprise that they are showing signs of fatigue, and their shape very blurred due

trio scored 112 goals between them this season -. but only three of them came in the last month, when they get the most necessary

when things go wrong at Barcelona it does not take long for the driver under pressure, no matter what he has achieved before -. and Luis Enrique is certainly finding that to be the case.

In his first season in management he has Barcelona to the treble, but he is on the defensive in recent weeks with his style of dealing with the press, leading to further investigation.

Another example comes in the press conference after the defeat against Valencia when a journalist named Victor Malo – who is of means “bad” in Spanish – asked if physical preparation of the players may be to blame for their malaise.

Enrique responded by saying: “What were you”

When the reporter responded by saying “Malo, Enrique said.” Correct, next question: “

Sure, it is rare in the same category of Nigel Pearson’s “you’re an ostrich?” ridge of the previous season, but that does little to pressure on both Enrique and the players results are poorly lighted.

It also goes further investigated in a number of more dubious decisions Enrique’s, including his choice not to rest more of his key players when the opportunity arises.

Few teams have such a gap in quality between their first choice XI and their reserves.

in defense, Jeremy Ahmed and former Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen is a long way from the level of the first selection center-backs Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano.

In the midfield Arda Turan takes to solve for quite some time, as they move from Atletico Madrid, while concerns are busy, all-action style is poorly suited to Barcelona’s passing game.

And along the primary alternative is Munir El Haddadi who impressed while scoring eight goals, but is clearly not at the level of Messi, Suarez and Neymar.

In fact, the only position where the backup is at a similar level to the first choice in the prison, where Claudio Bravo plays in La Liga matches and Marc-Andre ter Stegen get the nod in Europe.

This undoubtedly contribute to reluctance to rest Enrique’s players, and it’s no surprise that Barcelona is actively looking for a fourth choice striker to act as an alternative to their current leading three.

The front favorite at the time of writing, Sevilla forward Kevin Gameiro, 24 goals of the season, he is the type of high-caliber option they need if they are to avoid depression in the future.

In defense of Barcelona should be noted that they only endure a particularly horrific series of games.

The unfortunate run begins with a draw result against a Villarreal side against Liverpool in the Europa League semi-finals, while the two-leg semifinal against Atletico was a brutal, exhausting affair.

The Classico is drain for Enrique’s team, while on paper their easiest game of many – was always likely to be tricky, with Barcelona lost on each of their three previous visits to the Basque Country – away to Real Sociedad

is the proof, while they were not able to collect in front of a. Valencia team in a tree form is since Pako Ayestaran navigate Gary Neville.

The good news is that it is easier here on in. traveling Wednesday Derportivo a Barcelona team that just won a face of their last 19 games, while their last four La Liga matches is all winnable before they face Sevilla in the Copa del Rey Final. A

However, despite the events of the past month, Barcelona have their fate in their own hands. They stay for Atletico and Real, and which appears on paper to the easiest run in his -. Especially if the other two can be distracted by their upcoming Champions League semi-final

The game this Wednesday is their final midweek assignment of the season, which means that keeping Messi, Suarez and Neymar can for tests get good repair.

There is also an expectation that happiness should turn Barcelona’s. Their fate is perhaps best summed up by their struggle against Valencia, when Barcelona are two goals behind rest despite their opponents with just one shot on goal as Ivan Rakitic own goal was followed by fine second Santi Mina.

There is also the feeling that this team is too good not to react. Enrique is a relatively inexperienced coach, but he is president of a team of serial winners who displayed no signs of crumple at this stage of the previous season.

That said, there are real doubts that Barcelona team for the first time since they swept all before them last May

The smart money is that it is simply a stronghold -. one that cost them the chance to retain the first team of their Champions League crown in modern times but should not prevent them from successfully defending their La Liga title.

a month ago, but you would bill for this Barcelona team suggests would win a match in six. Suddenly, the title race was in Spain are very reluctant to.

PSG 2 Man City 2: Fernandinho and Kevin de Bruyne give City cause to dream in Champions League

The only wealth in the field competitor in this lofty dramatic and honest, sometimes chaotic Champions League quarter-finals was the poverty of the defensive.

In the Gulf Derby may have had a case of mind the gap on Manchester City have their nouveau riche opponents Paris Saint-Germain cast their chances. Instead City dug deep to win after a very brave trek – just as they appear to be overwhelmed

PSG vs Manchester City. If the happenedÂ

It’s been great for next week’s second leg at the Etihad when a goalless draw will take place through. But no one expected a clean skin of one of these two teams. But it was a good night for City

They have the guying field advantage, the away goals -. Plus both David Luiz, who are involved in winning a controversial penalty kick with Joe Hart Zlatan Ibrahimovic save the shovel, and Blaise Matuidi is suspended.

But the City favorites? PSG will believe they will score and also believe that they have won this, although they are much indebted to an error that Fernando will never be forgotten for their equalizer.

There was tension, spills and arrange terrible defending. Ibrahimovic has a first half hat-trick should have and then hit the cross-bar.

There was definitely something in the air at Wednesday night. And not only for Fernando. “We want more,” is the latest marketing slogan of the switch-on, aware PSG management and a large banner was draped over two levels with those words warrant for grand launch. PSG wants more. Place wish to do so. The last eight is unknown territory for City; The PSG was the fourth consecutive appearance at this stage of the competition. The company stage. The phase in which the elite forwards, and that’s where both clubs claim and where their investment she says should be.

But only one could progress and it was put to delivered the first blow. Straight from the kick-off of the ball is played forward and suddenly Sergio Agüero received target side of David Luiz, who had turned back to pick him. Free-kick and a yellow card for Luiz. 12 seconds elapsed and Luiz was under pressure. He will also be suspended for the second leg.

PSG is also fast dirt cries and demands a punishment if Edinson Cavani’s Blaise Matuidi quickly refuted by the French champions.

scramble back Eliaquim Mangala, challenged and Matuidi tumbled to the turf. No penalty is given, Matuidi equal annoys led despite appeals and protests by ?? ngel Di Maraa.

But then awarded a penalty. Luiz cushioned the ball have a cross to him and back inside Bacary Sagna who cut caught him with an outstretched leg. This time referee Milorad Mazic pointing to the spot. Luiz is undoubtedly looking for the contact – and it has gotten. Ibrahimovic raising the goalkeeper Joe Hart to drive right only for the goal to be nice push it away. It was to save his third consecutive penalty in the Champions League.

Ibrahimovic shortly afterwards, but his head planted too close to Hart the opportunity for an early redemption. If the pace remained relentless, was smart, whipped cross Jesús Navas’s meeting by David Silva, but he could not not direct goalwards his head.

PSG have taken after Nicolás Otamendi leadership folly try walking ball from defense, lost possession and Thiago Motta slide had to be in the room where the Âdefender. It is clear Ibrahimovic on the goal, Hart came out and the striker shot early from 20 steps, and the ball over the bar. There was an audible sucking in air from the home fans. Ibrahimovic should have two goals by this point. He has not.

PSG continued to turn the screw. City society is vast, especially when Luiz to add forward to the songs, just like they would break the home side the city was reached. PSG loses the ball carelessly – Fernando intercept Matuidi’s Pass – and City broke forward with Fernandinho find Kevin De Bruyne. He props himself and driving the ball powerfully as Kevin Trapp achieve a precious lead and a precious away goal.

The advantage to provide expensive. FÂernando a disastrous error when he miscontrolled Hart’s reported to him on the edge of the area. In stolen Ibrahimovic attempted clearance Fernando’s cannoning off him and roll into the empty net like a bewildered Heart – that share some of the blame as he had to clear the striker came close – check out forlornly

. basically all is the product of a terrible first touch of Fernando was and summed up a poor night of defense in that it was partly because of that, a highly entertaining encounter.

try to benefit PSG, but still received a setback when Matuidi discussed -. and he, like Luiz, the return trip will now miss

PSG is stationed. A low cross intercepted by Otamendi just before the ball narrowly wide of near post Heart of fire. a header goalwards from the corner Cavani gewip. It is pushed off by heart but simply go straight to the stream runs Adrien Rabiot that the steering wheel in the net of the neighborhood.

City were on the ropes and PSG has close again when Ibrahimovic meet intersect above Sagna, just before his head back off the bar.

Cavani recover collected, but the ball bounced off the ground and over.

Final: Barcelona 3 River Plate 0

A goal from Lionel Messi and a double by Luis Suarez Barcelona beat River Plate 3-0 in Yokohama win the FIFA Club World Cup and cap a triumphant 2015 for the Catalan club.

Messi has score 10 minutes before the end of a tough first half for Barcelona, which tested intensity River, but the European champions have again early in the second period by Suarez and Uruguay sealed their third world title on the way home a cross head of Neymar.

Barcelona’s first team to win the trophy three times surpassed the two titles won by Cor while Messi, Andres Iniesta, Dani Alves, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique is the only player to collect three winners medals.

It was the perfect way for Barca to finish a star year in which they already collected the Primera Division title, Champions League, Copa del Rey and the UEFA Super Cup, the only trophy they failed to win to the Spanish Super Cup.

Before the match, River boss Marcelo Gallardo acknowledged his team will have “a perfect game on every level” to play if they win, add “Barcelona has the best players, but we have a big heart.”

The Argentine club – which for the tournament qualified by winning the Copa Libertadores – is the previous record for the realization of the most fans to the tournament, some 16 000 fans that the 18 000-kilometer trip from Buenos Aires to Tokyo. On Saturday, an estimated 10,000 fans attended aa mass pull together in Yoyogi park, creating a carnival atmosphere in the city, but when it comes to Sunday’s match, Barcelona have their quality show.

The big news for the kick-off was that Neymar and Messi were both back in the starting line after the semifinal victory over Guangzhou Evergrande, the Brazilian restore a liesbesering while had Argentine overcome stomach ache.

She returns allowed Luis Enrique choose the same team as in the Champions League final against Juventus, with the exception of Claudio Bravo starts in goal over Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Gallardo, meanwhile, has just one change to the team that scraped to a 1-0 win over Sanfrecce Hiroshima, who Tabare Viudez Leonardo Pisculichi.

River tactic was to print high Barca the field to disrupt their passing game and suppresses creation. It worked for a large part of the first half, although they do have to be place-frequency tactical grow.

Despite the imposed shackles, Barca has some of the openings. Messi has besides a ball from Iniesta wonderful half-volley by Marcelo Barovero, and a tame shot from Alves following a Neymar cross from the left, which also collected the goalkeeper. Few chances river coming from set-pieces and long shots from Rodrigo Mora and Lucas Alario, both directly on Bravo.

Messi tries a free kick that dumped Barovero to the post, but it will not be long before the Argentine eventually found by a road.

Jordi Alba has the ball back into the half River and Barca broke quickly, Messi plays in Alves, who has a ball driven into the field of law and Neymar to this down to Messi head, which for controlled hook a right leg shot just beyond the reach of Barovero. The replacements Barcelona hunting from the dugout to Luis Enrique necessarily include wild celebrations, as was the importance of achieving the goal, but replays Messi has the ball with his right hand control to shoot for.

The goal is undermining confidence River and Barca can again before the break, Messi exemption Suarez scored with a success rate of curls right wing, but the Uruguay fired the wrong side of the near post.

Gallardo has a double substitution rest places on Lucho Gonzalez and Gonzalo Martinez discussed Leonardo Ponzio and ineffective Mora. But the new players were on the field for just four minutes for Barca is again. This time, the high pressure was River’s downfall, as Busquets spotted a gap in the defense and Suarez ran in, and control the ball slides under the legs of Barovero.

Barca pushed for a killer third goal and although Messi squandered a chance to add to his earlier attempt, Suarez has his chance to do the same, a look Neymar’s cross in the corner.

The Uruguayan has the award for the top scorer of the tournament with his double to add to his hat-trick against Guangzhou, while Barca deserved the right to be called world champion.
